Attendex is a product of Cybex Innovation. This page applies to attendex.in, app.attendex.in, company addresses on attendex.in and the Attendex face recognition service.

Who we are
Attendex is operated by Cybex Innovation ("we", "us"), Bangalore, India. When a company uses Attendex to manage its employees, that company decides what employee data is entered and why; we process that data on the company's behalf and only to provide the service.
What we collect
- Account and company details — names, work email, phone, company name, address and GSTIN given when signing up or buying a plan.
- Employee data entered by your company — such as job details, attendance punches, leave, salary, bank and statutory identifiers (PAN, UAN, ESI), tax declarations and documents.
- Face recognition data — when the face recognition service is used, face images and mathematical face templates used to identify employees for attendance.
- Usage and device data — sign-in times, IP address, browser type and an audit log of important changes.
- Enquiries — what you send us through the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
How we use it
- To run the service: record attendance, calculate leave and payroll, generate payslips, tax forms and reports.
- To secure accounts, prevent misuse and keep an audit trail.
- To send service emails such as password resets, approvals, invoices and important notices.
- To answer enquiries and provide support.
We do not sell personal data and do not use employee data for advertising.
Face recognition data
Face templates are used only to mark attendance for the organisation that registered them, are stored separately for each organisation, and are deleted when the organisation removes the employee or closes its account. Organisations are responsible for informing employees and obtaining any consent required by law.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run Attendex — for example hosting, email delivery and payment processing (Razorpay) — under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Payment card details are handled by the payment gateway and never stored by us.
Security
Each company's data is logically isolated, all traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, sensitive identifiers are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed, and access is controlled by roles and permissions.
Retention
We keep data while your company's account is active and as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. A company can ask us to export or delete its data when it leaves the service.
Your rights
Employees should contact their employer first to access or correct their data. You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and browser storage to remember preferences such as light or dark theme. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be notified to account administrators.
